Your documents and the visa
Apostille
Austria accepts apostilles from Peru. Your official documents, such as your birth certificate, need an apostille from Ministry of Foreign Relations before you submit them.
Visa-free entry
Citizens of Peru can enter Austria without a visa for up to 90 days and apply for the residence permit at the immigration office there (the MA 35 in Vienna). The OeAD still recommends applying from home.
Processing time
Usually 4 to 8 weeks for applicants from Peru; the legal maximum is 90 days. Waiting for an embassy appointment: ~2 weeks.

Preguntas frecuentes sobre la visa de estudiante austriaca
El tramite de la visa de estudiante austriaca generalmente toma de 6 a 12 semanas desde la solicitud en la embajada. Se recomienda solicitarla al menos 3 meses antes del inicio de los estudios.
Si tienes menos de 24 anos, debes demostrar 722.58 euros mensuales (8,671 euros anuales). Si tienes 24 anos o mas, necesitas 1,308.39 euros mensuales (15,701 euros anuales).
Si, los estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado pueden trabajar hasta 20 horas semanales. Necesitas un permiso de trabajo del servicio de empleo (AMS).
Pasaporte vigente, carta de admision universitaria, comprobante financiero, seguro medico, certificado de antecedentes penales, partida de nacimiento, fotos tamano pasaporte y formulario de solicitud completo.
Puedes apelar dentro de las 4 semanas posteriores al rechazo ante el Tribunal Administrativo Federal (BVwG). Revisa las razones del rechazo y corrige las deficiencias antes de volver a solicitar.
