Your documents and the visa
Apostille
Austria accepts apostilles from South Korea. Your official documents, such as your birth certificate, need an apostille from Ministry of Foreign Affairs before you submit them.
Visa-free entry
Citizens of South Korea can enter Austria without a visa for up to 90 days and apply for the residence permit at the immigration office there (the MA 35 in Vienna). The OeAD still recommends applying from home.
Processing time
Usually 4 to 6 weeks for applicants from South Korea; the legal maximum is 90 days. Waiting for an embassy appointment: ~2 weeks.
