Austria accepts apostilles from Uruguay. Your official documents, such as your birth certificate, need an apostille before you submit them.
Visa-free entry
Citizens of Uruguay can enter Austria without a visa for up to 90 days and apply for the residence permit at the immigration office there (the MA 35 in Vienna). The OeAD still recommends applying from home.

El tramite de la visa de estudiante austriaca generalmente toma de 6 a 12 semanas desde la solicitud en la embajada. Se recomienda solicitarla al menos 3 meses antes del inicio de los estudios.
Si tenes menos de 24 anos, debes demostrar 722.58 euros mensuales (8,671 euros anuales). Si tenes 24 anos o mas, se necesitan 1,308.39 euros mensuales (15,701 euros anuales).
